Not nessecarily. No sex can cause you to lower you self worth and begin to believe that you're not worthy. The truth is that the lack of sex isn't the core issue, but a indication that you use sex for something totally different. You might use sex to validate yourself. The point is to be comfortable with yourslef even though you're not having sex. There'll come a time when you are sixty and not getting any sex at all, and there'll be no prospects for sex either. You'll end up going years at a time without sex, and you'll have to accept the fact that you're not gonna get laid again, and not commit suicide because of it. It's no big deal really, but maybe you should find a hobby. The worth of a person is not defined by how many people they've slept with.

It could if it's something you need as an outlet. My ex gets really crazy and filled with anxiety and tension if he goes without sex for too long. Some people feel like a loser if they aren't having sex so that might make them a bit depressed. Other people get 'high' off of having it so it can make their mood better. I don't get depressed from lack of sex though. It can make me feel extra good after I have it sometimes.

I believe that a humans' feelings about themselves is more prone to be the reason of actual despair than an absence of intercourse. But sure, the experience of somehow not being proper to women...Or the leisure of the sector, for that matter, could rationale you to doubt your "self" in approaches that could lead to melancholy. Sex is good but not having it does not cause depression. You need to find someone who is ugly. They'll have sex with you. Then you won't be depressed anymore.
