"When I put in for my last day at work, they had put in a later date so Im just going to finish out the week at work, no big deal."
What i want to say is that when I let my work know my last day id be there till they entered the wrong date by mistake so since they put in alter date Im just finishing out the week. How can I revise the sentence in good grammar Please reply ASAP to let me know thanks best answer gets 10 points

My intended last day at work didn't materialize as the company committed an error and put in a different termination date. Now I had no choice but to report for work for the rest of the week. It's no big deal though.
