"The leader of genius must have the ability to make different opponents appear as if they belonged to one category."
----A. Hitler
It's just good propaganda.

Because Bush supporters are clueless. Conservatives put in a lot of effort associating the word liberal with unpopular positions, and now the are undoing it. Support for the war is becoming the "Conservative position" so fewer people are thinking of themselves as Conservatives and more as Liberals, especially among the young.

The narrow simple mindedness of the ardent Bush supporters see the world in black or white and so their options are limited. I know several people who identify themselves as conservatives who don't like Bush. One says he is not a true conservative. If that is true, than those opposing bush cannot all be liberals can they?
If you want to know what liberals are about read this:
LIBERALS
Liberals share a belief in individual rights, free enterprise, representative democracy, and the rule of law. In this sense, almost all Americans accept liberal ideas. So much so that it is easy to forget how revolutionary these ideas were when the American Constitution was written. Thomas Jefferson said, “Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with more.” All of our founding fathers considered liberalism a foundation of “the great experiment”. America since Reagan, liberalism has been colored to appear weak and elitest and our military force is used to intervene in other nations affairs.
Think liberal, think BIG.

It depends who you ask. Ask a Bushie and they'll tell you yes, a hundred times yes. All those moderates and conservatives and members of the Republican Party who are unhappy with Bush have all of sudden become liberals - they say so, so it must be so ;). Idiots.

Because back in 1994, the Republican leadership, led by idiot Newt, brainwashed the term "liberal" as a "bad word" into the minds of American citizens.
A liberal is one who actually stands up for freedom.
Conservatives need to stop living in the past and wake up.
As FDR said "A conservative is someone who was born with 2 legs, but never learned to walk forward."

That's a good question, because I know that there are some Republicans who are against him. If I remember correctly, I believe that Brent Scowcroft has criticized Bush for being ignorant and intellectually lazy.

I don't necc think you are a liberal if you disagree with Bush's policy or how he has handled his job. I know you are a left wing radical lib when you call Bush names like stupid, liar, antichrist, etc. or just don't like Bush personally because you disagree with him politically.
Hey you history buffs out there that think its the left that stand for freedom, under the right, republicans, more people have been freed. It is the left that has been against stopping the tryants of the past. It was a republican, not a democrat, that stopped slavery.
