Is there anything you can do for the dang glitches in Oblivion with xbox 360? I've had to restart 3 times now.

During the Hunters Run quest I got out of the dungeon to see the orc running around looking for the husband he obviously intends to kill but I am frozen and can't go back or otherwise get free. I had to bail out.

Another time during the Fighters Guild Quest with the nutty Dark Elf with the rats I never got a message after I witnessed the Argonian luring mountain lions to her house. I could not proceed because of it.

During the Mages Guild Quest to find J'skar I gave the tall guy the book but J'skar did not appear. I found him using a detect life spell but every time I click on him he tells me to go away or I'll ruin everything. Is there anything other than saving every 5 minutes that I can do to get free of this nonsense?

I'm not sure there are patches for the Xbox 360, are there?

Also, I'm not trying to cheat, I'm trying to play but characters aren't doing what they're supposed to be doing.

yes i agree! it is the most glitchy game i've ever played even dating back to the early ninendo days. although i haven't had to really start over. usually resetting was enough each time.

It seems to be not so much that of glitches than it is of timing in the game. For the Hunters Run quest try and reload it I guess. I don't know about that one I to my knowledge have not done this quest yet. For the second one with the Fighters Guild you have to talk to both and you will have to actually catch her in the act without her knowing you are watching or else she will run away. Go in Sneak and hide behind bushes and wait for her to come at night. Also, the one person who is the victim in the game goes visits her friend in Chorrol on the second of over month. Make sure they are both there and keep hidden when she does this. For the third one, about the book, you give him the book and he tells you to come talk to him at 10 PM game time to finish the quest. Not glitches as it is in the time of game and doing quests all wrong.

Do you have a internet connection? If not you need to find a way to get the patch for the game.

I am not certain that this will fix your problem buy wouldnt hurt.

If you want to cheat go for it but why cheat on a game you bought to play it? If you cheat atleast do it after you beat the game a couple times. Another thing you might want to do is clear your cache. Read online about this and you can find out how to do it.

I didnt mean you...I meant the person above me..sorry if I implied I thought you were cheating.

Yes there are patches when you play Oblivion on Xbox Live when you sign-in (online) and load Oblivion it will ask you if you want to update.

Did you download all the updates for the game? I know many people will not because they don't want to lose some of the exploits that work to their advantage (like being able to duplicate items or money). I finally had to break down and download the updates to get through the game, but it was well worth it!

the first one, sorry, no help

the dark elf, i had to go up and confront her, and tell her i saw her. at that point in the game, and 1 other quest, you cant hide too good, you actually have to hide like 10 feet away from them

the invisible guy, i think if you go to the basement at night, he is playing a trick on her. after hes done fooling around, he'll go visible again, he did that to me too.

I don't have a 360, I have a ps3.
This game, on my ps3, works fine. No glitches or anything. Awesome game! Good luck with finishing it!
