I consider that he had the same brain which every one has. Only he used it more efficiently.
He had passion for learning and did not limit his thoughts. Often we are not able to see beyond what is given.
For example, if I give you six match sticks and ask you to make 4 identical triangles out of it........
Many will give up as the correct answer is - Make a pyramid. No one told us not to make a 3D object, it is the restriction we impose on our thinking ourselves.
Another example - The telephones world over were black some years back - For no reason. The cricket was played in whites for no reason. They were all self-imposed restrictions on thinking that something which we have not seen or thought is also possible. (like conversion of mass to energy)
In this aspect you can find similarities in all the scientists who have contributed to fundamental science.

Einstein suffered from a genetic affliction called Aspergers Syndrome. It is a form of autism. Bill Gates is also afflicted by the same syndrome. One characteristic of Aspergers people is that they are extremely intelligent...often off the charts in IQ. But on the down side, they have a difficult time socializing with others. They also show the typical rocking motion that marks people with autism.
The good news is that Aspergers is a comparatively mild form of autism and, caught early, it's downsides can be controlled. Which leaves the upside...the incredible IQ and that's generally a good thing. That gives us things like the theory of relativity and Microsoft.

Not at all, he was an easy going simple typical scientist with a special flavour for scientific exploration!
Size of human brain has limitations and its chemical components are proportionate to other parts of a body! However, ability to make good use of it depends on the intellectual inducements injected into it by the person holding it!

Well, maybe he had a "better" brain for the purposes of thinking, but brain size is not an indicator of intelligence, or sperm whales would have discovered relativity! :P

idk whether his brain was bigger, but it was reported that he used a greater percentage of it. Average person uses about 10% of the brain, Einstein reportedly used 12%.
I don't remember where I heard this, but it seemed plausible to me.
