When you put it in that context I have to agree with you.
Most of my life's successes no matter how large or small have begun with the thought of " what if ". I guess because of this I have pursued many more things and therefore have only a few " if onlys "

I think dreams and hopes are a part of life´s "What if´s" too however...things that you never thought would happen to you, or even things that you never saw coming your way, can bring you to the point in life where you have to ask yourself..."what if?"..and the choices that you make from that point on are ones you usually make going on what you´re feelings are at that point in your life, how you think it will effect the rest of your life, and what makes you the most happiest....and 10 years from that point, you may look back and say that i wish i had done something else, or you may look back and say im so glad i chose this path....so i guess the only point im trying to make here is that, there are lots of different kinds of "what if´s" not just the ones we dream about, but the ones that just happen to us too...so to answer your question, yes i do pay attention to life´s "What if´s", because i think no matter what the outcome, those moments will always be an important part of our lives. :)

I agree. Life is so much bigger then what we will ever know. If you don't believe me just look to the sky at night and look at all of those stars, each one is a sun and most likely there are planets revolving around it, and even more likely their is some form of life on them. We may not be alone after all, and we may not be the most advanced civilization out there. Just something to think about. So ponder away

I used to,but now I don't care,I want to be more positive :)
I don't really agree with you, because some dreams and hopes can come true, but What if's are mostly things that can't come true.

What ifs are past tense, they are the things that *didn't* happen. Hopes and dreams, however, can happen for they are looking ahead to the future.
