Do you think she really decided to not to renew her contract, or do you think she wasn't offered more time at the View?

Unfortunately, it makes me SICK to think of--but i KNOW donald trump is gloating right now.

I have a hate/love relationship with Rosie. I think she can be a very kind and generous person, She says inappropriate things- Some I agree with, some I don't, some that make me laugh, some that make me cringe. But that is her right. I just think she was too fun, crazy and liberal for Barbara Walters...and she stole the show. The View will go back to being the snooze-fest it was before she arrived.

(By the way, I am a Republican and STILL like Rosie--so don't put me on a blast for being a liberal and excusing her behavior)

I think they told her its best if she left. They probably had to offer her money to leave.*

When the facts come out, you will see that Barbara Walters, with the help of Donald Trump, have successfully removed Rosie O from The View. And I am glad about that. I lost all respect for Rosie when I saw her hang upside down recently. Maybe The View can get back on track and earn more viewer ratings that are positive in nature.

A lot of people don't want to hear what she has to say, for various reasons. I think she gives a lot to charity, and does good things from time to time, but most of the time she simply irritates me. It's not like I hate her or anything, she just bothers me and I don't want to hear it.

I think it was good of Barbara Walters to stick up for her over the whole Trump thing, it's good to show unity, but I'm pretty sure that whole thing had something to do with her leaving...

Doesn't matter if Trump gloats or not, he gloats about a lot of sickening things, among them wastefulness, lack of regard for the earth, financial gluttony, power, etc... At least Rosie is just a jack*ss from time to time.

I can't figure out why she is a celebrity in the first place. She was funny in one single movie and tanked in a handful of others. If Madonna hadn't pulled her into the spotlight, we'd have never heard from that obnoxious woman again. I'm tired of rude people getting so much public attention, whether it's Trump, Murdock, or Rosie. Speaking your mind does not make you a hero.

She got canned. She says stupid things without a single fact. She reminds me of The Enquirer.

Regarding the Trump episode, he would have been trashed if he fired Miss USA as a mean sprited man who wouldn't even give someone a second chance. or the mindless yammering tirade she put on when he gave her a second chance.

But what would you expect from an over weight, lesbian Christiophobic.

Good riddence along with her band of mental midget minions!

Amber - I'm also a republican (although a very liberal one!) and I used to like Rosie...when she was funny.

But lets face reality: Rosie is a victim of self-inflected wounds.
In recent years, every time she opened her yapper, she spewed out vile, hateful things about other people.
And none of it was very funny.

She has dug her own grave.

She is not fired because she is not being offered enough money to stay on the show. However, Rosie is a special breed and like you mentioned, she could be blunt and obnoxious. On the other hand, she provokes thoughts and discussions.

Honestly, who cares? Don't we have bigger problems in this country (war, poor people getting poorer, lack of health insurance for many Americans) than Rosie getting fired? I'm sure she's got enough money to get thru...

I like rosie (even though she is sorta annoying) but she stands up and speaks up for herself.
