contact local car repair places- they might be able to direct you to the right place

I will star this- as I too live in Michigan and have a old Evinrude motor (in storage) that most likely needs work when I decide to ever use it again

if it is an air cooled engine most mechanics that repair lawn equipment can handle it as it is a close cousin to 2 cycle leaf blowers, etc...

If the problem is with the recoil pull starter or hard or no start (ignition or fuel),

If it is an air cooled engine most mechanics that repair lawn equipment can handle it as it is a close cousin to 2 cycle leaf blowers, etc...

If it is water cooled go to a outboard repair shop.

For any problem other than cited in the first paragraph take it to an outboard repair shop.
