I'd say it would be the ULTIMATE slap in the face if they get Donald on the show. Since I actually HAVE A JOB and no TIVO or DVR, I don't watch it, but I actually do listen to the news.
But I would much rather go back to the "leading up to Rosie" format with guest hosts. When they talk about teen issues, Bring a young woman (NOT Brittany or Lindsey) that has respect of her peers on the show. If they talk about Hispanic issues bring a well respected (BUT not a dead head) Hispanic on the show.
For a teen related show I would love to see Avril so she can give answers from a teen's point of view, and maybe do a number or two on the show.
For a Hispanic related show, maybe Chech Marrin (sp?) from the Chech & Chong movies, or Paul Rodriguez, or maybe Jennifer Lopez (and let her bring her hubby along as well).
There are tons of well respected people from different cultures of our society, that if "The View" were to be more successful, I think they need to tap more into the culture of the US and not somebody like Rosie that BASHES everything.
People like Rosie are "pity people", meaning that if a group as a whole do not like your activities, you have to play the pity role on the rest of us. I could care less that she is a lesbian, that is her choice, BUT when she plays the woo is me card, then the just needs to shut up.

As much as she annoys the crap outta ppl, I don't think the producers would want to replace Rosie. They might do everything possible to keep her. Let's face it, since Rosie has been on the show they've been experiencing a ratings bonanza, without her, the show will just seem bland again.
If I had to choose someone to replace her though I'd want it to be Kathy or kelly.

Why even bother replacing her?
The others on The View are all nice intelligent respectable Women.
They could replace Rosie with a Gorilla from some zoo and no one would even notice any difference except that they would have less expletives to bleep out..

I'd replace Rosie with the old Rosie that used to host her own show.
all we need is Elmo and some Koosh balls and I am sure she will come out.

A latina or mexicana perhaps one that doesn't have an accent though. In my opinion people with accents or speak really bad slang aren't taken very seriously or even heard. Eva Longoria or Jennifer Lopez. Both very classy sophisticated women.
