Italy became a country in 1888 before that it was a group of City states with different governments. Italians did thing prior to Italy being created. Palestinains did things before that country was formed and Scotland was several little Kingdoms before being one Why is that so hard to understand?

It is not hard to understand.

No one questions whether or not the Palestinians belong there or not. Even though the nation of Palestine has not existed during most of recorded history (since it was usually part of another entity), obviously the people in the region have lived there for generation after generation.

Now, rightfully or wrongfully, depending on your viewpoint, there are millions of Israelis who live in the region. Many of these Israelis were born in Israel, and therefore it is the only home they have ever known.

Both of these groups now call the territory home, so in simplistic terms, there are basically 4 possible outcomes.

1. The Israelis kill all of the Palestinians.
2. The Palestinians kill all of the Israelis.
3. Status quo. (Israeli missiles kill a few Palestinians, and Palestinian mortars kill a few Israelis...)
4. Some sort of brokered 2 state solution that both sides can live with.

Options 1 and 2 probably lead to Armageddon, which is something no one wants. Option 3 kills fewer people, but it does not resolve the problem. This means that Option 3 can turn into Option 1 or 2 in the blink of an eye. The only hope I see for a long term peace is Option 4.

The whole idea of nation-states is actually pretty new. The Westphalian system is also European idea that has been applied to all the world. Half of the borders in the world are haphazard, often drawn by Imperialist nations. Africa is a great example of that and how lines don't necessarily mean anything.

Ooh, a hanging curve ball.

How long before the Palistinian Muslim even existed was the first Jewish state up and running in the exact same place?

You can round your answer down to the nearest thousand years.

How could they be Italians before Italy was created? Wouldn't they be Romans, or whatever town/government they lived in? That's like saying that there were Americans before America existed. Your assertion is completely ridiculous.

Could you please ask a question which makes sense?

The Masai were there for centuries and there is no Masai country. The Tibetans have a centuries long history and they are being exterminated by the Chinese. Iraq and Egypt were Christian countries and are now occupied by muslims. where does Scotland come into it? And what was your question?

And you think logic, fairness, justice will set things right for the palestinians ? Of late, it is the military might of Israel that is deciding the fate of Palestinians.

There was no such word as palestinian until 1948. They were the drudge of Jordan, Syria and Egypt. Jordan even killed 10,000 to 20,000 of them in one month in 1973. Black September, maybe you've heard of it?
