Somebody has to pay off all those trillions in debt Reagan and Bush Sr. racked up.

Besides, presidents don't pass taxes. Congress does. And the republicans controlled Congress during most of Clinton's terms.

Now run along to school, little one. You seriously need some education.

If by "Americans", you mean the upper few percentages, because they SHOULD shoulder a greater burden. The greatness of this country made them wealthy, and ethically it's right to give back.

Bush is "taxing the crap"(wow...what elegance in use of language you sport!) out of the ever-shrinking middle class. Under Clinton, never having made over $25,000 a year, I NEVER owed federal taxes.

For the 2006 tax, due to illness, I earned just under $13,000, like $12,400. I OWE the feds $177. Being that close to the dreaded poverty line, I owe money. That helps pay the medical bills, I can tell you.

Don't talk taxes to regular folks...Bush is screwing them/us so hard, we can't afford to pool our money together to send him back to college for one three credit course he desperately needs to take:

"Your butt and a hole in the ground: a comparative study:101"

News flash.. Republicans controlled Congress during the Clinton Administration. They control the budget. They make the laws, they decide who gets taxed.. Why are you blaming Clinton???

He didn't.
Guess you are too young or lazy to have worked in the 90's.
It was a time of prosperity for the US. The Voodoo economics were done away with and Democratic fiscal responsibility ensured the solvency of the USA.

Now look at the mounting debt you will be paying for as you enter the work force.

EDIT-(above)

I remember the recession quite vividly, it went into full swing after "election results" gave President Bush the Victory.
The cause was the sure return of fiscally unsound policies.

He didn't tax the crap out of anyone. All that money that Bush said we recieved in Tax Cuts somehow went away paying other taxes to the government. You should really be asking why is Bush spending money he doesn't have and running up the national debt.

Because is was actually being used for US... not THEM.
Our social services were so much better.
I don't mind paying extra to insure a child or increase health care or education and even reconstruction of the disaster area. I'm just tired of watching our national debt rise and our international status diminish.

Please explain why I always got money back on my tax return when Clinton was in office and during the Bush years I am paying more. Oh, I almost forgot I am middle class that's why.

For social programs, which he and the liberal leadership believed were necessary for society. Normally, they tend to believe government must do certain tasks for people sense they cannot be trusted to do so themselves. I am sure you heard the saying; "Your going to pay for this whether you like it or not, use it or not!"
Later days.

he didn't.

in fact, i've never noticed a difference in my paycheck once due to these tax cuts.

my guess is that i'm not a special interest, industry or millionare, so i get left out of the tax cut loop.

i can't help but wonder when the american taxpayer will be regarded as important as special interests and corporations...
