im 13 and im 2 weeks pregnant. i no its too late to take the morning after pill so i want an abortion. what actually happens in an abortion, what does the doctor actually do to kill the baby? and do my perants have to concent to me having an abortion?

You made your bed you should lay in it. I was a young teenage mom and now my daughter will be 10 in a couple of months. I couldnt imagine my life without her in it, I looked at it in the sense that my baby shouldnt have to pay the price for something I chose to do that was totally preventable. It wasnt her fault that I chose to do things that were of a grown up adult manner. Have the baby and give it up for adoption if you really do not want the baby, there are many couples out there that would love the blessing of a baby because they cannot have one of their own. You cannot just go around doing things and not thinking of what may come of them. Killing your baby because of your actions is selfish, you were old enough (you thought) to have sex then you need to be old enough to take the responsibility of what you have done.

No, you do NOT need parental consent.
There are several different procedures.
The doctor will decide which one to use, depending on how far along you are by ultrasound, and depending on the facility.
The farther along you are, the more complex and expensive the procedure.
You are very early, if your dates are correct. Most likely, they will perform a simple vacuum procedure or a medical abortion (oral medication).
A good place to start is Planned Parenthood. Call them for an appointment; they can verify the gestational age and refer you to an appropriate facility if necessary.
This is your decision AND your right. Do what you have to do, and don't let people you don't even know make you feel guilty.
None of us know anything about your life, or how you got into this situation. Nobody should be judging you.

There are 2 ways to get an abortion. One is the pills that you take in series to abort the baby inside of you and let it pass out from your body.
Another way is manually taking out the baby. The dr dilet your cervix and use sharp objects (fork) to stab the baby and and tear apart the baby in little pieces and use a suction meachine to suck the pieces of the baby out. And then they take the pieces of the baby's body and either throw them out like a trash or take them to a research lab.
Either way abortion is a very traumatizing experience. I don't think you need your parents' consent.
I know you are very young and still early in the pregnancy but it's something you really have to think about before you kill this innocent baby. Please do some research on abortion. There are many resources out there to check. Also if you go to youtube they have videos that describe processes of different abortion.
You are only 13 so it must be really scary to go through this but maybe you can get someone's help. Can you talk to your parents about it? can you talk to the baby's daddy's parents? Maybe they will support you. Abortion isn't the only answer. So please do some research and talk to someone who would understand you to help you out.

In Britain, if you meet the Gillick guidelines for competence and you are under 16, a doctor can perform a termination without parental consent. But it is recommended that you bring an adult along with you.
Up to 9 weeks two pills are used to induce miscarriage.
After this a D&C (dilation and cutterage) is used - the cervix is stretched and the contents of the womb is scraped out. You will need a local anaesthetic for this.
I don't judge women or girls who have terminations unlike so many on here. It's legal for a reason - to stop the death of women and girls in the back streets.

Talk to Planned Parenthood, at this point, there isn't a baby, it is an embryo which looks like an alien and it will die when it is no longer attached to your womb. The doctor will either be able to induce a miscarriage with medication or will simply use some suction to cause a period/miscarriage. I don't know if you will need parental consent but you should really consider talking with them. You are too young for adulthood and could use their guidance. They can help more than you know.

Ignore the person who said you made your bed blah blah blah. Thirteen year olds are children! You have no business having a baby. Depending on what state you live in, your parents may have to be notified or give consent. I attached a link for you to look at. Contact your local Planned Parenthood. Well in the UK if you get it before you're 4 weeks you can take the abortion pills. You go to the doctor's twice, they give you a pill each time and it will induce a miscarraige. A friend of mine had this, and she felt like it was much easier than any surgical method, physically and emotionally.
This is probably much less traumatic than the usual method, which involves inserting a tube through your cervix and sucking everything out.
If you've really made up your mind, act quick. The longer you leave it the worse it gets.

early abortion - they "vacum" the fetus out whilst u are asleep. it is painless, although u may feel a little uncomftable afterwards. If u are serious about this, get it done as soon as possible. Do not leave it too late. People on here will try to scare u and tell u they stick needles and sissiors into the skull, that the baby can feel it and all this other propaganda rubbish. Know that they only do that in late abortions and they are few and far between and usually only for medical reasons.

an abortion at this early stage is done by the vaccum method. the doctor iserts a tube into the cervix and sucks out the baby along with all of the matter. then sometimes a dnc is done to insure that everything is out to prevent infection and bleeding.the baby is killed withn these processes. now a little about me. i too was a teenage mother at 16. i had my baby because i did not believe in abortion for me. i am not judgeing you but i asking you, please please, tell your parents or another adult that loves you and you trust that you are pregnant. it is one of the hardest things you will ever do. but in the long run , you won't regret it. i am praying for you.
