A man accused of threatening a Nevada Republican Party official with a rifle was arrested Tuesday in a vehicle in which police found swords, knives, a shotgun, shells and a flare gun, authorities said. Matthew Hunter Kramer, 31, did not resist officers who arrested him on a warrant issued after the April 3 confrontation at state Republican Party offices in Las Vegas. It wasn't clear why he was not arrested earlier. Zachary Moyle, executive director of the state GOP, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Kramer invited him to look at something in the trunk of his Mercedes before pulling out a rifle, pointing it at his face and warning that he would be back if President Bush vetoed an emergency war spending bill being considered by Congress.

Bush Derangement Syndrome.

The only cure is a U.S. Military Defeat or Impeachment of the President.

Well, considering that liberals are for gun control, this would be odd for a liberal to do.

Just because someone is against the war, it doesn't make them a liberal or democrat. From what I have been seeing and hearing, there are plenty of conservatives and republicans also against the war, and want Bush to get the troops out.

The only one I see siding with Bush is Cheney.

Wouldn't this be the equivalent of asking "why are conservatives so into homosexual relationships with children" based on the Mark Foley incident? Or "why are evangelical Christians so into meth and male prostitutes based on Ted Haggard? Or "why do Republicans suffer from memory loss" based on AG Gonzales' testimony? You have one incident and suddenly all liberals are "so out of control"? "Why do conservatives want to blow up federal courthouses?" (Timothy McVeigh). Can't you see what you're doing with these questions? Why do you think the acts of one individual can be imputed to millions of others? I do not understand the bitter, over-the-top rhetoric on this site from both sides. One individual says or does something and suddenly here its "all liberals" or "all conservatives " or "all Democrats" or "all Republicans." The words "all, every or never" are seldom correct in any type of discussion.

Any because of the actions of this one man, you are able to make the blanket statement that "liberals" are out of control?
It seems to me that this man was out of control.
That would be the equivalent of saying that all pro-lifers are killers, because some choose to bomb clinics and kill people.

Blanket statements like that are what creates prejudice.

Since when do Liberals believe in solving problems by picking up a gun?

Has it occurred to you that even conservatives are unhappy with the performance of the Bush Administration? Only sycophants and bootlickers stay with him.

There are nutcases within every ideological perspective. There are people that run out and murder abortion doctors in the name of conservatism and even God. Is that any indictment on God or conservatism? No.

But it IS always interesting when the liberal media make excuses for people like that and give them a pass or make light of it. Those are the people that truly make liberalism what it is, shameful.

Your article doesn't state Kramer's politics. If you want to argue about something here, get more evidence. Otherwise keep it to yourself.

I do believe that the christian terrorists who attack abortion clinics with bombs, bullets, or fire would be considered conservative. By your logic, the conservatives are even more out of control since they greatly outnumber your one example.

And just where does it say he's a liberal? Sounds like another run of the mill nut job.
