Warm water, let it sit for 10 Min soften the chocolate.

Take a plastic scraper (drivers license) and take off the heavy stuff.

Add more warm water this time with a little dish soap, scrub it in small circles.

Now warm clean water scrub again, vacuum out.
Repeat until it's gone.....

WOW! how big is that chocolate you want to get out of the car. He! He! Bad joke I know but I wanted to make you smile. Well! I know most if not all answers have said use warm water. Think for a minute if you do that all the chocolate will melt and be sticky and hard to remove. It will just spread more. I'm not saying that's wrong at all, but before you get that drastic, try placing a small bag of ice over the chocolate mess and let it harden. Then it would be possible to use a spatular or bristle brush or tooth brush and scrape it off. what remains if anything can be wiped over then. The ice fix it is good for chewing gum too.
Good Luck. Lynda

JoAnn's Fabrics and Crafts sells a product called "STAIN DEVILS"....They are small yellow bottles, about 6" high. Some are powder and some are liquid and you will find them in the area of the fabric. Ask someone if you don't find them. They have numbers on the front for each different formula and you are looking for number 2, ketchup and sauce. It is a liquid. Apply directly to the stain and let it soak for 30 minutes. Scrub with hot water. When treating upholstery, you want to draw a circle of hot water around the stain and work your way in toward the stain so you don't have a water ring after it dries.

NOTE: If you have already put a chemical cleaner on this stain, the Stain Devil will not work. They are chemically structured for specific stains and if you have treated the stain with another chemical, you have changed the chemical structure and makeup of the stain.

I had the same problem a few years ago. I have children and one left a candy bar on the seat in the summer. I went to an auto detailer showed it to them, it took about 5 mins to remove any evidence of the chocolate and the charge was 8 dollars. I gave the gentleman a 20 since I was so happy to get it out. I thought I would have a stain and never did. Good luck with your situation :)

Baking Powder /Soda mixed with warm water into a good thick paste and applied on the chocolate in the car will easily remove the chocolate and also clean any other oily remains or dirt so u can have a really clean car interior. Squeeky clean. Wipe off the Soda paste with warm water with the help of a cloth.

Chocolate is an 'enzyme' and has to be treated with an 'enzyme-eater' like BIZ or others. One cheap and simple one I (and now my grown son) will not be without. Is a barsoap called "Felsnaptha". This is very old---(has been around for probably over 100 years.

Whatever you use, be sure you read the ingredients, and see that they do NOT contain any bleach or bleaching agents...as this will not remove the chocolate...only the colour in the fabric---or the fabric itself!

I would get the car professionally valeted and let them deal with it. They have special equipment for such sticky problems.

I dont think there's anything wrong with eating in your car, my only rule on the matter is to not eat anything that requires cutlery. I tried it with a cheese cake once and it just ended in my car seat and my jeans being in an awful mess. As much as I like cheese cake, it wasnt worth it.

Lol It looks like a LOT of people are interested. Well, I spilled Chocolate MILK in my car seat. The best way to get it out is to use the stuff that's not for car seats. I used Windex. Spray it over to loosen it up. .Then take a wet towel and rub it a bit. Then get a soft cleaner, like Dissolve, or anything with suds and visisble soap, and spray it over again. Let it sit there and loosen the chocolate out even more. But now it's time to do the actually cleaning. Spray a bit more on it and rub it with your towel. COntinue doing so.

Scrap off the dried chocolate and then take just an ordinary baby wipe. I know it sound crazy, but baby wipes get up some of the most stubborn stains off of furniture and carpets. I would let it dry first. If you try to clean it while it is melted it just smears and seeps into the material. I find it much easier to get off once dried and then clean up afterwards.

by experience, heating chocolate makes it spread and harder to get out. If there is a bunch in a blob, take dry ice (use gloves) place on it once frozen, take a flat dull knife and slowly pry up the blob. Then use the cleaner or try resolve carpet cleaner and blot the cleaner dry.
If you are afraid to go that route I suggest go to a car detailing company. They are better equipped to handle such issues.
