You're right, I think it's a shortened version of "I am going to TAKE A moment and DUMP something off at the loo". When you gotta go, you really don't have time for chit-chat.

The phrase take a dump is mildly-vulgar slang describing the evacuation of excrement from the bowels through the anus. It derives primarily from one entry of the definition for the word dump, which is to “fling down or drop heavily or suddenly”.

It's like when you throw out your garbage and take it to the dump; in this case, you are metaphorically taking a dump. Is this confusing?

A similar analogy when you clean out your house you gather up all the sn!t thats no good any more we put it all in a big pile then we take it to the DUMP Hence; Take a DUMP the toilet is the vehicle witch we use to take our stuff to the big DUMP under ground in the back yard!!!! HAPPY DUMPING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
