Well, if it is a V-6, then it's a 6 cylinder, which means it will have 6 spark plugs, unless it is a diesel powered vehicle, in which case it won't have any.
It it is gasoline powered, just follow those six wires leading from the distributor to the cylinders, on a V engine, there would be 3 on each side. Where the wires end on the engine, is where you will find the spark plugs attached to the wires.

There are as many spark plugs as cylinders - one per cylinder, and here is a simple formula: 6 cylinders X 1 spark plug = 6 spark plugs. As far as getting to them, some are not accessible without significant teardown - say hi (or rather Heil!) to ford.

If it's a V6, then you have 6 spark plugs. The plugs are up towards the top of the engine underneath the coils. At least I think they had COP ignition in '02. If you have the vregular ignition ignition then they are below the plug wires. of course.

would desire to be the valve conceal gasket leaking (this is slightly@# to alter) Or it would desire to be the intake manifold gasket. look ahead to a water scent or a water loss. the intake manifolds are created from plastic the place the crossover piece is (the single that leads from the backside of the thermostat housing to the different side of the intake) I also have a 2000 and the plastic disintegrated and that i had to interchange the intake itself. a million final element, there replaced right into a keep in mind on the intake manifold gaskets yet i don't remember what year it replaced into for, it would not harm to call ford and discover out.

There is typically 1 spark plug per cylinder, meaning you will have 6 total. in some cars more, but not your ford. the spark plugs will be on either side of the motor...3 on each side. you should see wires about the width of a pen connecting to each of the spark plugs. they will be pretty evenly spaced on the side of the motor, right next to the exhaust. see this pic . the red wires attached to the red cap are the spark plug wires in this case. your newer model will not have the same setup, but should give you a place to start

You must bring the car to a mechanic. You are not qualified, you will break something, and you will end up bringing it to the mechanic anyway.
