I just saw an answer to another question where the answerer said "i'm only 18 but i like a lot of older bands like backstreet boys, britney spears, eiffel 65" - !!!!!!!! OLDER BANDS???? I'm 25, I didnt think I was old til now!!!

Actually a number of things make me feel old eg when sports stars younger than me are referred to as 'veterans' or 'experienced'.
Also, it slightly depresses me that I can remember the debut of a number of great sportsmen who have recently retired ie I am old enough to have witnessed their entire career.
Also the fact that I am so much older than the Friends characters when the show started - I remember watching Friends as a teenager and thinking of them as 'old'

I work at a school - one of the main reasons I want to leave is because I'm constantly reminded that I'm old (I'm 25 too). It's just weird to see or hear kids doing stuff we used to do and thinking that they probably thought they came up with it, but it's old and it's all been done before. Then I realise my parents probably thought the same thing. I hate being old ;(

Sorry to say but you are old ... in the eyes of an 18-year-old. Think back when you were 18, and what your impression of someone in their mid-20s was. Old was probably your reaction. But that heart; it's all relative. I'm a bit older than you, and you'd probably think I was ancient also. LOL!

Wait til you get to your late 30's - it's scary. For a lot of years I wouldn't go into Top Shop or Miss Selfrige because I felt ancient. Now I don't care anymore!

I feel when they refer to toys of my era on ebay as vintage nostalgia.. Glowbugs, Pound Puppies, She Ra, Jem Dolls and Rainbow Brite..

yeah i'm 17 and a little girl in the store where i work said to her pal "you can't eat that sweetie until you paid for it....give it to that wifey!" god, i was gutted
