Borderline high blood pressure, HIP (hypertension in pregnancy) or PIH (pregnancy induced hypertenstion). He took your urine sample because he was concerned for Pre-Eclampsia (used to be called Toxemia)...which if left untreated could turn into Eclampsia...
He was looking to see if you had any protein in your urine, a sign of pre-eclampsia...
He should've explained himself to you... that's not fair!
He will probably keep an eye on your blood pressure and look for other signs you might be exhibiting of pre-eclampsia. Read up on it, online...

It sounds as though your blood pressure is between what is considered normal and high. This in itself does not mean anything as your blood pressure can be affected by lots of things (if you were in a rush to get to the appointment for example). Your doctor would have checked your previous urine tests to see if there were any other signs that something could be causing it.
Obviously the risk in pregnancy is pre eclampsia which can become serious. They will look at your blood pressure in relation to other symptoms or results and monitor it over the next few appointments.
As I have already said, your blood pressure can be affected by many things and that includes stress so try not to worry about it and your doctor WILL tell you if there is a concern. You will probably be back to normal next appointment. If it is HIGH, you have MAY have a problem. More likely you rushed about too quickly after the other two children. Blood pressure should be monitored at resting rate to get most accurate results.
Try not to worry about it and ask your doc when you see them next

You might have pregnancy induced hyper tension (high blood pressure) also called preeclampsia.
I had it with baby #2 and #3.
He asked for a urine sample to check for protein in your urine (a sign of preeclampsia).
He will probably monitor your blood pressure more closely now and advise you to take it easy or to start your maternity leave from work early.
Relax as much as possible and try not to worry about it.

Borderline means that you are probably aproaching an unhealthy blood pressure, but are not quite there yet and ready for interventions. Also, you should have to submit urine at every appointment as they check for protien and sugar regulations. I really don't think they are related at all.
The end of pregnancy your body is doing TONS of work and as the weather gets warmer and warmer, it is normal for your blood pressure to go up a little, your ankles to swell, etc.
It probably will mean you will need just some extra attention during your delivery.

I'm a little shocked your OB would tell you not to worry about it. If you ask a question you should not be blown off.
I'm playing a guessing game but I'd say your blood pressure was elavated and he is checking your urine for protein.
I got the impression the urine sample threw you off? You should be giving a urine sample every visit.

Pre-eclampsia and toxemia, are both pregnancy induced hypertension. You will have your urine and blood pressure checked from now on until you deliver. I started having problems at the end of my pregnancy. Are you swelling at all? If you have noticed it, lay down on your left side. This helps your liver work on the excess fluid. I was put on forced bed rest and eventually they induced me because I was getting sicker. Basically, they want to monitor you because high blood pressure puts you at risk for a stroke. The problem usually goes away with delivery. Take care of yourself and get lots of rest. You're almost done!

It means it's on the verge of being too high, and it's not uncommon with any pregnancy. Even if it gets too high before the pregnancy ends, it typically returns to normal after the baby is born. But it is something that the doctor will be keeping an eye on and trying to prevent complications from it. Mine got too high with the first pregnancy - even though it normally runs low - and I ended up on bed rest for the last 6 weeks because of it. But I never had to take meds for it, and with my second pregnancy it stayed normal the whole time.

You could just be having some pregnancy induced hypertension (high BPB). I had that with my middle child. They will monitor you and you will be fine. Just try not to stress out, because that will just send it up more. They checked your urine test results because a combo of high BP and protien in the urine are signs of pre-eclampsia. Just try to relax and put your feet up as often as possible.

your borderline high.
thy'll most likely keep an eye on it to make sure your blood pressure doesnt get too high and cause toxemia, which can be dangerous to you and the baby. the only cure if this happens is to deliver the baby.
but if he said not to worry, then im sure your fine.
