Is there any way to add a second monitor with a feature that I can click a window on my primary monitor and say "show on other monitor" I don't want to clone the primary as I don't want them to see everything going on or anyone walking by my office to see what I'm doing. If there is a program or a way to do this please let me know.

Simon, that is my problem. Is there any way to control what is mimicked on the second screen? I understand how to hook up two monitors, how to extend, how to run them simultaneously and separately.

Most video adapters will allow a second monitor to run as an extended desktop. So if you have two monitors at 1024 by 768, your desktop becomes 2048 by 768, half on one monitor half on the other.

You could then drag any window that you wanted to show a customer off the part of the desktop on your monitor and onto the desktop on their monitor.

The down side of this is that if you can not see their monitor you will not be able to see the mouse cursor etc. and see what you are doing.

If you get certain nvida graphics cards you should be able to do that with the software they provide. Another way you could do that is if you have the dual graphics cards on your desktop already is to use the extend my windows desktop onto this monitor from your display properties then all you need to do is just open up the information you want to show them on that window

It is simple; you need two video cards or a video card that has two outputs.
