Fake. There are a lot of incongruences in the official story that have been investigated and researched by numerous respected members of the scientific community. Moreover, NASA told REUTERS in 2001 that they had ‘lost’ the original tapes of the event (700 tapes!).
Given the political and social situation of the U.S.A. then, it makes perfect sense that, in case that the technological limitations did not allowed the mission to the Moon in the promised date, staging it would have been the logic alternative to avoid international shame. Don’t forget that the space race was one of the greatest propagandistic showcases of the Cold War.
Until that moment, the Soviets had an undeniable superiority over the U.S.A. in that area: they were the first to put an artificial satellite in orbit, for example. In addition, the moon landing of 1969 takes place at the bloodiest moment of the War of Vietnam.
There are many other discrepancies. With the advanced cameras that they had, as well as the favorable conditions (lack of atmosphere) there isn’t a shot that shows stars. They didn’t even take a picture of the sky, and stars that should have been around. That’s because stars and their position are very difficult to reproduce.
Even Neil Armstrong once said “don’t ask me any questions, and I won’t tell you any lies’’. He and the members of other similar missions (Apollo, Collins, and Calla) refuse to talk about their experiences.
Of course the U.S.A wasn’t the only one telling lies. The Russian have reveled that Yuri Gagarin wasn’t the first soviet that was sent to space. Three astronauts had died before he went to space. Poor Laika, the dog they sent to space supposedly lived one week, when in fact she died of a hart attack 7 hours before departure, as disclosed by authorities nowadays.
Watch Fox 2001 program "Conspiracy Theory: Did We Land on the Moon? Presented by Mitch Pileggi.

It was fake. Then america and russia were in this "contest" to see who would get a man on the moon first. This is true! Russia was about to get there, but the american president didnt want that. In a matter of a few weeks a rocket was supposedly built and sent to the moon with no problems at all. They got there and they got back safley and everything was fine. Russia lost to this sad excuse for technology. Now when we try to send anything into space, even, not just the moon, but anywhere we see all these problems! The blow up, or crash, or something is wrong with wiring. You would think that in todays advanced technology we could do what we did then. Technology has advanced dramatically just within the last 30 years.... we got to the moon on the first try... why cant we do that now. Several efforts must be made just in getting something off the ground. I honestly believe it was hoaxed to beat the russians in this advancement.

hhhaaahhaahhhhaaaaahhhhhhaaaahhhaaaexcus... me,haahhhaaaaahhaa please hhhaaahhhhaaaa please I just haven`t laughed so much in a while, sorry I just had to take a break, I Just couldn`t stop laughing so much. Honey that just happened so long ago the term "conspiracy theorists" wasn`t even invented. Why all you have to do is step out at night on a full moon and see Neal Armstrongs footprints way up there on the moon, plain as day for everybody to see. If a Puertorrican can see an Avallarde on a mountain top in Puerto Rico of course we can see Neal`s footprints up there. No, seriously; Neal Armstrong set his foot on the moon landscape and said, one small step for man, one giant step for mankind. We were all glued to the TV, and my 81 year old grandfather said, that was a pretty amazing thing the "Americanos" did. Why?, you don`t think it happened? . Of course it was real.

A man may lie not the circumstances. In present day time people have time to argue on any subject as they have no other work to do. Therefore every thing is attempted to be countered and thus arguments start and last for so many years.May it be fake but what was seen by eyes was not fake nor it was a stunt picture.

I was a teenager when it happened, and I believed it then. That was before I got older and became aware of all the lies and manipulations that exist in our government. I think hearing about Area 51 and how that was covered up has an influence on my thinking nowadays too. What right did the government have to hide that information from us? Because of the mistruths of our politicians, I keep an open mind on what may be real or false now.

Did anybody watch "Capricorn One"? If the 1969 moon landing was real why has nothing much happened in relation to the moon in the past 38 years. Why spend billions of dollars achieving something if you are not going to capitalize on that achievement? Seems fishy to me.

My Father worked on the Gemini and Apollo projects over at North American. I got to see first hand some of the wonderful things they produced, mainly the capsule. It wasn't faked.

I can't say but I wonder, how did they know or understand the difference in gravitational force? I mean, how long had man been flying airplanes? Then we're on the moon in the 60's?. I honestly thought about that this morning....where did they get their information from so that they would be so prepared?

Im pretty sure its real, but lots of people think its fake. One of the main reasons is beacause in the background of the video they took on the moon, their is no stars. Just black. Another reason is because the american flag was blowing in the wind. But there in space! There is no wind! But, there is probably some scietific facts to state the causes of those things. So you can choose what you like.

I live in Huntsville ALA (The Rocket City), and can tell you it is for sure real. Now as to the debate as who was really the first astronaut either Armstrong or Aldrin that is different. But footage, photos are real.
