Well Dumbledore died in book 6 for starters. Also we all know that Voldemort has to die. Now whether or not Harry dies in the process is another story. I think JK Rowling has made it somewhat clear that in the wizarding world there is something of an afterlife. Remember the Dais in the Death room in OOTP? Harry heard something behind that mystical curtain. Voices, or so he thought. I believe there is more to this. Harry has much to live for, but in the end, will he be reunited w/his parents, siruis, dumbledore? But then again I don't think Dumbledore's death was all it seemed.....that, however, is another topic for discussion.
Anyways, to answer the question. Voldemort, yes. Reason: It must happen to end the terror sweeping the country. Rowling mentioned in an interview or on her website (cant remember where) that at least 2 major characters will die. As for the other one, I hate to speculate. I've already given my reasons for Harry dying (being reunited w/loved ones). I hope I'm wrong. I'd love to see Harry survive.

Logically, the answer seems to be both Harry and Lord Valdemort. For one thing, J.K. Rowling does not want to continue the series. If both die battling each other, then the series ends. Another reason is because I think that Harry because of his connection to Valdemort through the power exchange as a baby has a connection that will cause his demise if he kills Valdemort. Harry and Valdemort are bound through magic and circumstance. Almost insuring that both will die if one is killed.

Harry Potter will die. JK Rowling does not want to write further Harry Potter Books. I could imagine that he would die killing Voldemort.

i think i might possibly know if maybe somehow or other i may be in the knowlege of jk rowling to parhaps or possibly know who might die...
HARRY POTTER!!!
why do you think she named the series for him????
look at the others...
philosopher's stone... 'killed' in the sense it was destroyed at the end
chamber of secrets..... emm can you close an eye?
prisoner of Azkaban.... you know what happened book 5
goblet of fire.... the means which led harry to voldie
order of phenix... i think this book should have been named '&the lost prophecy'
the half blood prince - he killed d.dore
deathly hallows??? what do you think???? the killing of the holy..... the killing of harry....
that is what i think, and as i am (not) jk rowling i guess it's a fairly imaginative fantasy/ guess.
tell you after june.....
=p

I think that Ron will die, but that's not what she's going to make us think. It's going to be something crazy like Hermoine is going to get killed and then at the last minute Ron jumps in and takes her place. I really don't know, but I am stoked to find out!!!

Snape would, to save Harry for the last time.
The truth is that he loved Lily before and since she's dead, he'd pour his anger and love on her son.
Just a guess...hehe
