I have only recently started to engage on this web-site, and to my horror, the intimidation and bullying from the letters are so appalling, Please let me have your view.

Most of us, my Dear One, have perfectly civil manners, while others, which unfortunately you have met before, do NOT. Please ignore them.If you have received letters from them, report them to Yahoo as abuse.
You're correct, the bullying they try is appalling and that is what we're in the process of trying to take care of. Unfortunately, until Yahoo will ban at an ISP level we're fighting in the trenches and the Trolls will not leave of their own volition. They're taking some of the Old Guard and cloning them now, trying to give folk with hereto spotless reputations a bad name.
Please stick around and bear with us. This is actually a very good site and we can, indeed, be a Happy community (barring the idiots among us).

There are some very sad people on here yes. But there are much more nice people - once you've been on here for a little while you'll realise that the nasty people are much fewer.
I had some guy randomly email me about the town I live in (Birmingham), telling me what a rubbish town it is and how London is so much better. I'm putting what he said very politely. He then used a few swear words to describe me! So I just emailed him back and said "Well done! London must be so proud to have you as their representative. Ahh, a classic example of another London knobhead."
He hasn't replied since ;-)
Honestly, just ignore them, report them, or calmly email them back and say something that shows you are not upset, but that you just treat them with ridicule.
Remember that by answering / asking about certain topics such as religion, race and sexuality, you tend to get more abuse than if you answered a question about dogs. These topics attract more stupid people than any other, because they like to go around bullying people.
Trust me, after a while it won't even bother you.

Well, this place is all about discussion and argument. Just as in real life, there are going to be some people who are going to be aggressive, defensive, rude, whatever, because they can't argue effectively. So they resort to bullying, swearing, intimidating language...
I hope you will find after you have been here a little bit longer that most people on here are funny, entertaining, and even if you don't agree with them, polite. Yes, there are a lot of rotten apples but you would come across those in real life, too.

some people come on here and ask really stupid questions. if you write in 'i have come off the pill and not using anything else, now my period is late, could i be pregnant?' now PLEASE tell me what other kind of answer could you give this? or another one is 'how do i ask for money nicely when i get married?' its the appalling question that generates the appalling answer. i also disagree with people trying to use it as a sales site.
and the worst of all is the person asking ALWAYS just picks the answer they want to hear to ease their conciense, like a woman on it the other day wanted to know how much access she should give her ex to their unborn child - then picked the best answer by some other woman who said an hour a week. how would SHE like an hour a week????????

Life has been unkind to the trolls who post here. They're such losers with low self-esteem that they lash out here anonymously and safely from their computer. Most have had their as*es kicked, so the only way they can act tough is via the Internet.
Kind of lame and pathetic, dontcha think?

Yes im afraid there are some nasties on here, and some wackos.
I just speak my mind, tell the truth and if they dont like it then they dont have to listen/ read it do they.
I will admit i have been a bit on the nasty side now and again but its usually towards the friggin perverts if you know what i mean.
Just carry on , ignore what you dont like and reward what you do like and you will have fun, xxx

Hey maybe you joined on a bad day, but to be fair to one and all it is easy to piss people off when you hide behind a pseudonym, now if most of these people had to show their face, age and sexual orientation on here along with question or answers , a lot of people would be more polite

You shouldn't allow people to e-mail you. You'll get nasty answers for no apparent reason.
As to why people are so nasty, we have become jaded by the trolls and repetitive questions that are intended just to insult. Try not to let it bug you. I've been on here for almost a year and I've just recently become short tempered while on here.
