I have been homeschooled from 9th grade and I am graduating next year, I am just finishing 11th grade this May. I love horses, and want to look for something in the Equine Field. I have a lot of experience in it and I just love animals. Is there any college or university that will accept me? I am homeschooled from an accredited school. It can be either online or regular classes. I have looked into the vet field, but that takes 8 years and you would have to put animals down and do stuff that I don't like to do. I want to own a boarding stable that not only boards horses, but offers lessons and everything else.

You can go to a "land grant" university (like Oregon State, Iowa State, Ohio State, CalPoly) and study animal science, or earn a certificate at a two-year equine program at an instution like Pacific Horse Center in Elk Grove, CA.
I went to Oregon State, and have a friend who went to PHC. She's the one who became a trainer and rides the "A" circuit. She gives lessons and owns a boarding barn.

Princeton Review's web site has a tool wher eyou enter information about your background and interests and it suggests colleges for you. I've provided the link below.

There are only 28 Vet schools in the country and most have a limit on how many students they will accept from out of state. It is harder to get into Vet school than it is to get into Medical School. Therefore, you should go to the best university tht you can get into.

Good luck.
