My configuration will be a higher end type. I found that Hp is around $200 cheaper than the other two with the same config. Please let me know of ur choice. Also tell me if you have some other brands like Toshiba, Acer

I work at Micro Center, and i see many computers come my way. I look at the computers to be worked on and about 95% of them are Dells. HP seems to be the best to me. Sony is good aswell. But i trust HPs hardware more.

And also dont forget HP and Compaq are combined now. So look at both band names too see all your options.

Dell has some great support. HP is obviously cheaper. Sony has a very sleak and clean look. If money is no issue and the configs are exactly the same, then it's your own personal preference. If you want great support, go Dell. If you want something that looks cool, go Sony. If you don't care, go HP.

My opinion, HP; a friend of mine is very pleased with her Toshiba; HP and Toshiba came in 2nd and 3rd (after IBM/Lenovo) in consumerreports.com. Acer came in 4th. See also eopinions.com and PC magazine.

But also, Dell, is to be reckoned with: they are the only PC that will soon offer a PC with *NO BUNDLED SOFTWARE* wonder of wonders! None of that built-in advertising crap like trial versions of AOL, Earthlink, Norton, games, and all the other stuff that eats up space on a fresh new system.
