From Pune, Harihareshwar, Diveagar and Shrivardhan are nearer. You can travel via Mulshi - Bhira ghat. You will reach Kolan on Goa highway Go to Mangaon- Goregaon and take a detour towards Harihareshwar. If you have started early morning from Pune you should be in Harihareshwar by afternoon. You can prefer to stay there. In fact, advisable. It takes time to visit most sites and temples in and around these areas.

You can again start early next day and reach Ganapatipule by late afternoon. Might take 6+ hours depending on traffic and how good you are in ghat drivings because Mahad onwards there are ghat sections every now and then.

Stay in Ganapatipule. Try visiting Ratnagiri, which is nearby.

Then head back to Pune. You can take a detour from Poladpur then Mahabaleshwar, Panchgani , Wai and back to Pune.

Happy journey and moments.
