In murrieta the curfew is that teenagers under 18 have to be in the house by 10 pm. And I want to know some epople opinions on that.

I did not have a curfew as a teenager.

I was expected to tell my parents where I was going in the evening, and, most importantly, to stay out of trouble.

It worked.

I was in the same boat as Overanxious. . .

I had no curfew, but I was expected to let my parents know the usual - who, what, where, when, and why. I did just that. But what fun was it to have no curfew when all of my friends had one??

I think that if teens want responsibility, they need to prove they can handle it. Obviously, if a curfew has been implemented, they haven't proven they can handle it. Not every kid should be allowed to run free with no curfew. But there are kids responsible enough to handle it. I think maybe the parents should start parenting their kids, instead of relying upon the laws to do it.

I think curfews should be used on kids or anyone under the age of 16 not for people over that age coz thats just stupid

The small town I live in had a curfew when I was a teen, but we never listened to it. Besides that, a teen can do the same things at 9 p.m. that they can at 2 a.m., right?

I think it's silly.

I'm 19 and my parents want me in by 8pm.
That doesn't happen but they call my cell phone and annoy me to no end when I get home.

Staying at ANYONE's house overnight is out of the question. They used to tell me that it was because I'm 17 but since I turned 18, they claim that it's because I'm a girl.

It makes the municipality look like they're doing something about youth crime.

Most don't know or laugh about it if they do.
