Yes, they are just on an extended hiatus...(kind of like Pink Floyd, they haven't been together since 1994 been haven't officially broken up)

They are very much together up to this point, but the thing is that the Gallagher brothers are the only original ones left in it, the last one of them (Bonehead) is gone and so is his talent. they are so together that Noel Gallagher won the NME (Magazine in England) award for best alternative artist (because of his Oasis work)
Look into Yahoo Music about them and you'll find out more interesting stuff

yep!!! they were recently honored at the 2007 brit awards for lifetime achievement, & will provide a song on the "sgt. peppers" 40th anniversary tribute album!!!
