..... of new islands...due to global warming--ocean's water may rise..i would like to know, is their any study being done on it or people have looked at this angle of problem that may occur in future.

May be in tsunami but not in other type of phenomena! such as an earthquake or Volcano. The water level has nothing to do with what is going on be-neat and inside the Earth. As you know the Volcano and Earthquakes are results of the transformation of the Earth from inside out.I am sure you watch the movie "The Inconvenient Truth", by Al Gore. It is very interesting to watch this movie if you need more infos,take care

You would think that an increase in water would actually take land away, therefore there would be a decrease in volcanoes, etc, etc.
