Sounds like he's using the incompetence excuse to get out of chores. He should know, each person can only do that with a maximum of three tasks. If a man tries to appear incapable of shopping, he'd better know how to wash the car. Just like if a woman wants to appear incapable of killing a spider, she'd better know how to get dog doo out of the carpet.

I don't know why he'd wash dishes with car soap, but I use dishwashing soap on the car all the time--it really works great.

If he's of a certain age, you might consider a Dr. appointment to rule out Alzheimer's. If he's youngish, it's just a "man" thing.

He is just clueless. Atleast he gets the job done no matter how strange the methods seem to you.

Smack upside the head and see if you can realign everything.

Does he get it right in bed? Or does he forget which...

Oh never mind, you get the visual.
