Narcissistic are we?

WTF? So the presumption is that a 50 y/o man is naturally 'scary' to a 21 y/o woman? Maybe he's just an ordinary non-rapist, non-axe-murderer sorta guy. What's the threat? The guy part or the 50 y/o intern thing? Maybe he's on career 3 and has a lot of decent advice to offer. Maybe he's some developmentally disabled guy who's had a lifetime of being shunned by "polite society" and now you believe it's *your* precious life that's about to be pitched into turmoil because you're afraid of the unknown?! There's a lot of possible good that could come of this deal and all you think about is...some...threat? Get some damned pepper spray and grow up.

Well until you meet him you just have to wait and see. Yes it is a little odd to put a male and a female in together...... for privacy and such. But you are an adult and so is he.

Cosider this. If he was younger he would probably definitly be all interested in you. The older guy has probably been around a bit and understands how to keep his hormones in check. He is probably neater, quiter and more mature than a younger person. Even if it was a girl your age.

So having an older roomate might actually turn out to be a major plus. And having an older persons views and opinions may turn out to benefit what you learn and get out of your internship.

Once you are there you will meet other people. Some other intern may drop out. So then if you really feel uncomfortable you would be able to switch more easily.

First of all this organization that is rooming you with a guy should re evaluate their decision making process. If I where you I would go to whoever is in charge and explain that you are uncomfortable with rooming with a male that you do not know. They do not room males and females together in the same dorm rooms in college... or do they? Its been a while for me since I have been in college. Anyway, I think that you should tell them that they owe you an explanation for rooming you with a male. If he is gay then it will not matter. Otherwise, you should dust off your chasity belt.

Why are they rooming you w/ a dude? Sorry, I have no idea how ot fix this.

You've probably already done this but
- state that you don't feel comfortable in the arrangement
- find new housing close enough to the park...even though you may have to pay for it.

a competent prayer. You Gotta Love the Irish Paddy grew to become into driving down the line in a sweat because of the fact he had an substantial assembly and could no longer stumble on a parking place. finding as much as heaven he stated, "Lord take pity on me. in case you stumble on me a parking place i'm going to circulate to Mass each Sunday for the the remainder of me existence and end me Irish Whiskey!" Miraculously, a parking place looked. Paddy looked up lower back and stated, "in no way strategies, i chanced on one."

You really need to hold your ground and press the issue with whoever is in charge. Stand up for yourself and demand that you get a new roommate.

If it has any connection to the federal government call your congressman. If it is state or local call an elected official. If it is private call your local paper. Do not go along with it,

This is CREEPY. Do not go along with this. If he rapes you, they'll say, well she went along with rooming with him, she didn't object. Dont do it!
