I sell water testing products as a job and have tested the water at home to see what was in it - it has quite a few heavy metals (which do effect the taste and most of which are really detrimental to health over time) and chlorine. The actual taste isn't too bad but I tend to buy bottled water to drink and only cook with the tap water (so it's usually been boiled) as I know all the cack that's in the tap water! I'm in the South of the UK btw.

I have been to London and i recommend everyone NOT to drink that. Come to Birmingham and get some great fresh nice tasting tap water from the mountains. (I think).

Tap water in our area is very good. I prefer it to bottled water. Bu even better is the artesian well my Dad has. The water comes from deep underground and is cold even before refrigeration.

Well,no because since I live in a certain area in the mountains mine tastes like sulfur. It's not harmful to you but it tastes like someone farted in the water then had us drink it.
