Everyone has their own style for introductions. I would,

1. Start with an amusing story about some incident concerning the hospitality industry. (If you can't tell an amusing story, then get someone else to do the intro.)

2. Then give a brief list of the guest's accomplishments and career history.

3. Then conclude with, "Let's show our own hospitality by giving him a big round of applause." (Before the meeting I'd to tell a few of your audience to start the applause when you finish.)

The total time for the intro should be no more than 3 minutes.
