"you are so naive?" i felt insulted when people said that?what makes a person not naive?

i would get insulted too if somebody called me "naive"...i don't think there is any way to become no t naive...i must admitt back in my early teenage years i was very naive but i learned so much things since then that im not naive anymore i think it come through life experiences.

What makes a person naive is always taking a statement at face value - believing its literal truth and not divining the motive behind it.
So, to stop being naive, try to guess what it is that underlies a person's attitude.
'But he said he loved me...'
'She said she'd do me a favor and....'
'He was only trying to be helpful....
Sometimes he really did love you, she really was doing you a favor and he was only trying to be helpful. But not always! Being alert to the other motives makes you less naive.

it is not insulting, there are worse things a person could say to insult me.
Living and learning...that is how you stop being so naive!

people say this when they think you don't understand something but maybe they just want you to see things the way they do but thats not always possible we all have our own minds and opinions so maybe they are niave
