No, love is not an exception. Love does not last forever but people can make it last for a long time. That is why couples go out on a vacation, have romantic dinners and so on to keep the fire burning. If the fire stops burning, the love will fade away. That is why there are so many divorce cases because spouses are too busy with work to keep their love for each other burning.

but do you think there really is end for everything? does nothing lasts forever?, or is it that everything lasts in some or other form, a mere memory, a feeling, a particle of being, if so, then love surely does, it is no exception.
and if nothing lasts forever then love doesn't either, because love can only exist if something is eternal, it is connected with that eternal thing, that eternal something, that eternal you.

Either love does not last forever, or the statement "nothing lasts forever" is false. A third option may be to argue that love is not a "thing" so it is exempt from that statement.
