you know like an airplane, that way it won't take near as much money to launch which will lead to more space research and builiding on the moon!

It's not wise to say that things are impossible. But the engineering issues are huge. Number one - fuel and weight. To get a craft of the ground and out of the earth's atmosphere into orbit takes a lot of fuel (see the shuttle launches). It would be hard to get a plane that was able to get off the ground with the amount of fuel needed that the shuttle carries.

If a new propulsion system could be devised (nuclear?) -- or "impulse power" like on Star Trek - then maybe.......

Probably not without making it very complex. The wing and tail surface have too much drag. The amount of fuel needed would be out of sight.
