"The teenagers guide to the world" because I didn't read it until I was 22, and actually, the facts that it has in it about money, love life and rules and the law are all true, and wish i had read it sooner.
Sadly enough a lot of teenagers are going to make the same mistakes, not listen to their parents and so forth and if they were to read it...it'll open a new world for them because it really does show the true facts of life...and being an adult living those facts...i can contest that the book is infact very invaluable to any parent to buy for their teenagers.

The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. I'm not much on reading self help books but several people had recommended this book to me. It describes 5 basic ways people express love and how if a couple doesn't express love the same way, they may not understand their spouse's expressions. It gave me a whole new understanding of my husband and helped my marriage tremendously.

Harry Potter series because when I started reading them I just fell in love the books. I had to read the entire series from book 1 to book 6.
It is one of my favorite series since I began reading them in 2001. I just like the characters in so many ways.

Black Elk Speaks
This is an "as told to" memoir by Black Elk, an American Indian who lived in the late 1800s through to the 1930s or so...
His observations and wisdom made me see the world in a new light... that was 25 years ago, and I still think of his words from time to time...

Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger
Why? Well, when i first started reading it, i felt noinclination to like the main character, i felt that he was too whiney and preachy. But i found that as the story progressed i was becomming more interested in the character, taking a liking to him. I began to understand him and the things his character was expressing, i found myself saying, "wow, this character is becomming more and more like me." it was weird. Then when the story finished, i was hit with an emptiness and left with one word imprinted on my mind. "Wow!"
I really felt for the character and found myself in his mind, likewise with mine being branded with the name "Holden".
I recommend anyone to read this, especially teenagers.
Cheers ;)
