I think people who are gay should be treated equally, they are human too. But I Don't agree with homosexual lifestyle. My uncle is gay. This past august when my aunt (his sis) died, he came up from Florida. I stayed at my grandmas house the night of the funeral to be with my little cousin (it was her mom). Well my uncle and I were sitting outside talking and all of the sudden he told me that I shouldnt be talking to him since he was gay and the homosexual lifestyle is against my religion (im Pentacostal). But I tried to explain that hes still my uncle and i still love him and ill still talk to him but I dont agree with his lifestyle. His "partner" is a great guy but that doesnt change anything.

The reason why gays are judged is because people dont know the scientific link. Males have a Y chromosome and a X chromosome, as females have 2 X chromosomes. The X in males is whats gives us our nipples and mamory glands inwhich ours are undeveloped wheres females are fully developed which enables them to breast feed. Now, theres a genetic strand of being that has bred in with humans called hemorphidites/hermorphidites that possess both males/female genetals. So, some males or born with thier X chromosomes dominating the Y chromosome which will give them more of an female quality, lets say the genetic strand of a hemorphidite got mixed with them also, then enternally this male can feel just like a female does only they ended up with a body of a male. Dont believe it, go research and check it out.

I don't understand why this is even issue! They're people! Being gay doesn't make them criminals, so why on earth shouldn't they be treated equally? Why do so many people think it's okay to worry about child molesters, rapist, wife beaters and baby killers having the same the rights as the rest of us, but so willing to fight against gays having the same rights as the rest of us? Especially since most of the crimes I named above are committed by straight, white males? The only reason gay people should be treated different is if they happen to be gay and a criminal, and then they should be treated like any other criminal! Other then that, these people deserve the same respect as any other law abiding person!

Of course they should be treated equal. They are humans just like you and I. The fact of who they love has nothing to do with there not being worthy of respect. I really don't understand how this could even be a question. Gay or straight people deserve respect and they deserve to be treated equally.

You are the millionth person asking this on this section. I think people who are gay are human beings, just like you and I are. There is nothing wrong with being gay, and it is not a disease, it is not an abnormality, and we are equally capable of handling anything that others can. Yes, we should be treated equally, and with as much respect as a human being deserves. Please don't sit on the fence so long, it could be a pain in the rear, if you know what I mean :-P

You DO know how to spell "fence", right?

Gay people should be treated equally. When I think about WHAT makes a gay person gay, I'm repulsed, but probably because I don't have a common frame of reference. I've never been sexually attracted to the same sex, and the idea of that repulses me.

However, people who are unethical, mean-spirited, or arrogant also repulse me, and I strive not to treat them any differently. So I don't see why I should treat gay people any differently either.

Yes they should. The only difference between a gay couple and a hetero couple is that they sleep with a member of the same sex. Why is it that people care about what others do in their bedrooms. It shouldn't matter to anyone else. No one has the right to judge someone else.

All people have their point of views. And i think that they must not judge others through their orientation because they think its wrong or something. These teased people get hurt and others dont treat them as equals anymore but i must say that all must be treated equally. The world hasnt seen yet that all people must be equals because all of us are created by God. The church says that people who love within the same sex is not allowed because it is against God's will. But these people believe that they are created in His image and they are loved for who they are. There is nothing wrong about being gay, people jus dont realize it. all must be equals because all of us are people

It's this simple. They are people, same as me and (I assume) you. I don't think everyone who isn't a Democrat should have their rights taken away from them. But Republicans are more offensive to me than homosexuals. This is the same rationale that made slavery ok for so long. If it's different, and you can't kill it, then oppress it. Look at Iraq and all the crap going on there between Sunnis and Shiites, and that's what all the intolerance gets you.

By the way, "Gay" isn't a nationality or race, so you don't have to capitalize it.

I believe it's biological. Meaning, gays are people just like anyone else, but their hormones or brain waves or whatever tell them to be attracted to members of the same sex. Because of that, I feel it's morally/legally irrelevant. In other words, it's the same as someone being left-handed. I mean, the majority of people are right-handed, but we don't have exceptions for left-handed people, right? I think you're born gay, plain and simple, just like being born blond, or with brown eyes or freckles or anything else that is totally explainable by biology.
