The cover of the new movie, Night at the Museum, utilizes this product. Also, there are a lot of children's products that use it. Usually, the motion, from side to side, is what is required to expose a different picture or illustration.

Hologram is one name but the name I am trying to locate is for a product that pre-dates hologram by many years. The toys in Cracker Jack boxes used to have this feature.

The old-fashioned method that you describe did not use holograms. It relied on lenticular lenses - that ridged plastic that covers the pictures. This allows limited 3D and animated effects. Many old objects like that with lenticular printing are quite collectible.

The article states that the principle dates back to at least 1692 - even before the invention of the ridged lens. It also provides links to other articles on the subject...

Yes, it's a hologram. More specifically, it is two holograms impressed on the plastic so that each can be seen from a different angle. Requires a bunch of equipment to make one, but once made can be churned out on a special printer.

It relies upon on how modern your final license photograph replaced into. maximum IDs required for criminal use i.e Passports, Drivers License would desire to have a image that below 10 years old. In Minnesota if I remember properly a sparkling photograph ought to be taken each and every 5 years, yet once you have had a license photograph taken interior the previous couple of years you have to be ok.
