Maybe so but look at the cartoons these days with violence guns etc,i think the simpsons is for older kids and adults and not for young kids.

I'm surprised he didn't get shot because he was always stealing people's picnic baskets. Not only did the cartoon making stealing okay, but it also made being a glutton acceptable. Man, i miss the day of great cartoons.

He was only reacting to his animal instincts. It never influenced me to steal but I see what you mean.
There are lots of much worse things in cartoons - look at South Park and The Simpsons.
