I'd take back a couple of identical computer systems (software pkgs loaded; monitors, DVD/CD, disk drives, printers, modem, etc.)---the typical setup you'd see in an average middle-class/professional home. Also couple identical laptops, ditto.
Then I'd arrange a special presentation & show it to the techies of the 1970s....."you'll have to reverse engineer a LOT of this stuff, folks; I've no clue how it works. (That's why the identical systems.) Bidding starts in 72 hours. In the meantime, go play with the new toys and see what they can do."
They would be gasping in ecstacy, SEEING all the neat things that our "common", cheap computers can do. Once the word got out, can pretty much guarantee that you'd be mobbed, with top-level techies flying in to see.
I don't know which would be more fun----the money you could get from the bidding (multimillions per item, no sweat), or seeing the technonerds going utterly mad in delight about the Neat New Goodies, and wanting them bigtime. Major, major, major greed......heavy on the covet.
I remember (1974) when a "scientific calculator" was a good HS grad gift---and my first real computer (1984) was a 128K Macintosh" luggable" ($2500 at the time, and a "high speed" modem could handle 2400, instead of the more usual 300 or 1200 baud).

Bring back? Some likely collectible items, and I'll EBay them. On the other hand..... is the world _ready_ for even more disco and John Travolta items in prime condition?--(g) I can't see leisure suits and elephant bellbottoms making a comeback. But Elvis stuff (wince) and Barbies (double wince), along with some hot kids' toys, might do well.

LOL, *I'd bring back a lot of condoms and films of what the future will bring if people don't keep an eye on Government policies.
*Bring back to the future..The original Beatles, Elvis, gas prices, the peace movement, the VW Bug and Bus, economy, Drive-in movies, and soooo many wonderful things that young kids don't see today.

The 70's were great!!
I got married in 1972,I was working in a great school,we
bought a car for £1200,and we could go on holiday
without breaking the bank.
I would bring the ethos of fun to 2007 and there is nothing here I would take back.

I'd take a laptop computer and a printer, discs of every newspaper archive from 1970 to 2007 and I'd bring back Maggie Thatcher and Tony Blair and dump them on a very isolated desert island so they couldn't screw up the country after 1980.

I wouldnt take anything back, i think it would ruin the 1970's experience, and probably change the future in crazy ways. I would bring back the music, they had great tunes in those days, before the age of boybands and R&B.

A respirator, since everything probably had asbestos in it. I don't want to get mesothelioma. I would bring back a hip leather jacket like Brad Pitt wore in Fight Club. That was sweet. My dad gave me his, but I've outgrown it. And maybe some groovy polyester bellbottoms. In earth tone solid brown, of course. Or should I go with the houndstooth? Maybe even the brown plaid? Hmm... Some sweet gold rimmed, green lens aviators. Those were smokin. I'd also bring back the American car! Yeahh!!!

Fax machines.

In 1970, I could revolutionize the overnight delivery business before FedEx got started.

I'd bring back the good TV shows from the early 70's.

All the way back to the 1970s huh? I'd take my cell phone and bring back a pair of cork soled platform sandals.

I'd take a current picture of Micheal Jackson to show everyone back in the 70's and I'd bring back some great memories.
