I definitely do, human life....almost certainly no. Life in some form? Yesssss. I am not going to guess as to what the life form migth look like or how it functions. It might not even be a carbon based life form, but there is life out there somewhere. The universe is HUGE though, the space between solar systems are just too great to reach using modern technology. That doesn't mean that someday we won't have better technology and be able to. If you told someone 500 years ago we would go to the moon, they would literally laugh you out of the room. The problem with the human race is we always think that we know everything.
here's the truth even if the odds of finding a planet of ANY kind were 1 in a billion (which we know they are far less based on studies of near by stars and we have already discovered dozens of planets....maybe not earthlike but still planets none the less)......and then if the odds of a finding a Planet that could have life on one of THOSE planets were 1 in a billion......and THEN if one of THOSE planets had odds of having intelligent life were 1 in a billion. You'd still have thousands of planets out there with intelligent life. The #s are just too great. We are talking about Billions of galaxies, yes BILLIONS. Each galaxy containing billions of stars, take ours estimates vary wildly but somewhere around 100 billion stars in our galaxy. Do the math. :o)

Yes. I am an alien from another planet...We don't have a convention of naming where I come from so I guess I won't be able to say the name but you can rest assured that I am one of them...Please don't tell Bush cause he probably would arrest me as an illegal alien, which, of course, I am. I find many earthling habits very strange esp. war..Another concept that lacks explanation on my planet. Your leader in the house that's white (I'm finding it hard to distinguish his from other white houses) seems to be some what of a not tell the truth er. He would be laughed right out of his white house on my planet. And the people that like him (I think the word is Retardicans) must not have a lot of your brains because they actually believe him...Oh well...they'll find out soon enough what kind of dumb *** (a sexually explicit word from my home that has no translation on earth)...Well earthlings...It's been nice an sewing questions with you on Yahoo An sews...Tell all your Yahoo friends to visit me on my planet when you discover better space travel...VNhfyidna/kd

With all the other planets, there must be. I don't believe the life is the little buggy eyed grey critters some believe in and I don't think they're doing wheelies in our skies. I'm sure it's a life form we could never even imagine but I do have that hope.

statistically speaking it is almost impossible. you must remember that despite all of the variety of lifeforms on earth, the event of life starting only happened once. every tree, fish , insect, plant and animal is a descendant of this one creature (or process).
this means that all of earths history there was only one moment and one location that conditions were right to start the life process. the conditions were not right a few inches to the left or right or a few moments sooner or later or at any time before or since or at any location on earth again, even with scientists trying to recreate the perfect conditions in this ideal earthly setting.
sure it is possible that it could happen again (although more likely on earth) because it did happened once, but it is a little like playing last weeks lottery numbers to expect it again.

Statisically speaking, there almost has to be. In fact, there should be many. The odds of there NOT being any other life in the Universe are about the same that I will dematerialize here in Massachusetts, and reform in Alyssa Milano's bedroom (and not get thrown out)

I do believe there are other galaxies which may have similar intelligent life like ours. That goes from watching too many Discovery Channel programs.

I think it would be pretty selfish of us to think that out of this entire universe that we are the only planet with life...

There is. Ancient artefacts, human abductions by aliens etc clearly show there is life on other planets.

in a big big unerverse i would properly think so, we can not be the only life force on earth. That is why the permids were built for spaceships.
