I have three computers at home linked with wireless routers on a network. Can my neighbours use my network wireless connection when I am online to access my computer?

A wireless router is simply a radio transmitter/receiver. Anyone with a wireless computer who is within range of your signal can receive it.

So to prevent them from USING IT you must install some sort of security, a password or WEP/WPA key on the router. If not they can use it anytime the router is on.

The router came with a set up disk that will allow you to easily set up a security key that will prevent unauthorized users from getting in.

Setup the security key then enter that key on your computers and no one can use your home network unless you give them the key.

You need to turn on the encryption and use a randomly generated key phrase with the longest encryption that will work with all the computers wireless cards. If you are only using wire access, with the router, you can disable the wireless altogether.

They can. Always enable security for your wireless network. U can do this by password protection or through Mac ID identification.
