I am living in a nice house. the house next door has neighbours but I dont see them. there is this big frightening monster rolling around on my fron lawn and trying to get into my house. I have locked all windows and doors but it still keeps trying to come in the front door. Then a second monster comes and rolls on the lawn too but it is not so insistent on getting in. I shut the curtains and go to the back of the house where there is a sort of extension and I lock my back door which overlooks a nice garden with no boundaries. The monster doesnt come to the back but there is a general feeling of fear. I get a glimpse of my neighbour but she goes in her house and I do not see her again. I think, but am not sure, that there is some member of the house with me though I dont see them. I have had a similar dream to this before some time ago. What on earth does it mean?

Houses indicate your state of mind so this would tell you that you are generally feeling ok in yourself (you said it was a nice house). The monsters outside could be outside influences in your life that you feel threatened by and have no apparent support (your neighbour retreating back in her house without offering any help) or maybe other people think you are managing well and don't need their input/see it as a problem? Perhaps you have been dwelling on a problem needing resolved but don't know how to go about it?

Well, there is quite a bit of symbolism in your dream and although it may feel frightening to have dreams like this, it is a healthy thing for our subconscious to react like this. Basically there are four main points to your dream, the new house, the monsters, the lawn and being locked indoors.

The new house represents a new phase in your life

The monsters represent repressed emotions

The lawn represents feelings of hope, pleasure and well-being

Locking yourself inside represents feelings of alienation and difficulty getting in touch with your feelings and that you are denying some aspects of yourself.

To have the monsters rolling around on the lawn simply means that you are afraid that these repressed emotions will spoil your hopes and pleasure from this new phase in your life.

Your dream suggests that you are denying some aspect of yourself because you are afraid that it will spoil something new in your life..whether this is a new relationship or a new phase in an established relationship but you will continue to have dreams like this until you allow yourself to express these emotions/feelings.

I hope this helps...

Monsters in your dreams represent fears in your life, for example: people, objects, or your job. If you are having difficulties in a relationship, or at work you maybe trying to resolve these issues in your dreams. Bad dreams provide a natural ‘pressure-release’ therapy for the psyche, and they may even provide what amounts to an early cure if we listen to, make an effort to understand and then act upon the valuable insight that dreams try to bring us.

Monster = fear, high authority figure.
your house = your privacy

Looks like you have some trust issue, and perhaps this is due to lack of security. Your dream is telling you that subconsciously you feel your privacy has been invaded. Perhaps, in your life recently, you are feeling left out and that is why you vent the dream out

I am giving my interpretation of your dream, but you will know it true actually when it happens.

Monster is some difficulty in your path. You are going to change your way and go about turn then you will find success garden, monetary benefit, the neighbour is allegory for some body who will help you change your track and go about turn and find the garden.

God knows best.

Sounds like you have some issue or problem which you are holding back or trying to hide from and everyone else around you is oblivious to it despite the fact you feel it's obvious.
