II would want them to continue a accessing the internet but only block a particular site whose content is repugnant to my conviction which I do not want them to open on my PC. It gets offensive when it registers on my web history. However, I do not want them to obviously know that I blocked them. Thank you mates.

In Windows XP do this:

To specify Web sites that others can never see

In Control Panel, open Internet Options.
On the Content tab, under Content Advisor, click Enable.
If you've already enabled Content Advisor, click Settings, and then type the supervisor password.

Click the Approved Sites tab, type the Internet address (URL) of a Web site, and then choose whether you want others to always or never have access to this site.
Repeat this process for each Web site that you want to set access for.

There are several ways to block websites, but they will know they are blocked, and they will probably try to get around the blocks! One way to do this is with parental control software, and yes, it is built in to Vista. (Gee, that is the first thing I have ever said that is good about Vista..too bad Vista is so incompatable with software and hardware that it doesnt work)

i'm not sure you can block one website. you may be able to use parental controls and add the website to the not allowed list for them.. also you could start clearing your history. if you have IE 7, click on tools > internet options > click Delete > click delete all.
