Yes, of course you can! We aren't saved THROUGH our spouses, or through our family, or through anyone but through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Now, if the question is "can I, currently a single person, marry an unbeliever," the answer is that the Bible says you shouldn't. Paul says that we shouldn't be yoked with unbelievers - and who are you more yoked to than your spouse?

Its very difficult to retain your faith when your spouse doesn't believe it. Its very difficult to grow in your faith when the one closest to you on earth doesn't believe in your faith. For your walk and for God's glory, its best not to marry an unbeliever.

According to the scriptures, a Christian should not marry a non-Christian, because they are unequally yoked. It says how do you yoke light with darkness. If one spouse becomes a Christian after they marry, they are not supposed to leave the unbelieving spouse. If the unbelieving spouse decides to leave them, they are to allow them to go without any hindrance. It also says that the unbelieving spouse's life with be santified (blessed) by the fact that they have a believing spouse. So it is to your advantage to have a wife that is a Christian. It is not to her advantage to have a husband that is not.

I'm not sure I'd advise such a thing.
The born-again Christian would probably be constantly pressuring the non-christian to convert. I wouldn't want to wish that sort of uncomfortable position on anyone.

Well...technically, they wouldnt marry a non-christian. You are told to surround yourself with others who live the christian lifestyle. A lot of christians like to try and convert though, so I guess maybe if they have plans on "saving" their spouse, its possible. But in general, they wouldnt.

First of all, why is this in the gay and lesbian area? Homosexuality is forbidden in the Bible.

That being said, the Bible strictly warns against being unevenly yoked. Not just that, but it's simply unwise to be married to someone who doesn't share your faith. It will be a constant cause of stress in your marriage. After all, wouldn't you want to be married to someone who'll go to church with you?

Yes they certainly can... in Canada, Spain, Holland or South Africa. Gay marriage is legal there, a blessed union before God, Church and State.

I don't see what it would hurt if it is true love and they are meant to be together.
