Yes, it has happened many times before, although this doesn't regularly happen. Players who scored a goal short-handed when down 5 men to 3 include Richard Park and Jordan Staal this season and Fedor Tyutin also did it a couple of years ago.

Pretty sure it's happened. I know in college that Michigan scored a goal on Illinois-Chicago when they were down 6 men to 3 (UIC had pulled their goalie).

Absolutely. I don't know how many times, but Fedor Tyutin's (NYR) first NHL goal came 3 on 5, two or three years ago.
It's not common, but it happens.

Yes the Buffalo Sabres did it I think it was in 1993. I remember because it was in Rick Jenarettes top play calls.
I dont think it has ever happened in the playoffs though I may be wrong.
