Yes, this actually happened to my mother last year. We all talked to my brother and asked him to turn himself in. Once all statements were given it was deemed accidental.

it depended on the situation if my kid killed a child like these perverts do I'd turn my kid in a minute or if any kind of rape was involved if it was something else I'd protect my kid

I would talk her into turning herself in. It's better she face up to it now than hide and eventually be caught. The punishment will be far worse.
