If you can work part time then that would surely help out in any situation, but if you have small ones that are not in school that is a different matter all together. Child care is expensive now a days! Think of the money you have saved by just not using it? I know I do. No, the man should not make all the money, it harms the wife when he walks out the door. And that is certainly true in my case!!!

If at all possible during the early years it is good for Mom to be there for the small child's needs. But with today's economy that isn't always possible because with just one paycheck many families struggle, it takes more than 1 income.Child care can be very expensive as well! A job that the Mother can do at home can help. If a Mother can give the child/children all the love she can when she is with the child/children. Dad's play an important roll in a child's nurturing as well.

It depends on the financial situation...i worked w/ a girl who paid all but $50 of her check each week toward day care...if your kids are old enough legally to stay home alone tho, there is nothing wrong w/ you getting a part time job.
