The poems have different topic, but have quite a few things that are similar. In Lee’s poem, the line “my father recited a story in a low voice” and in Roethke’s poem “My Papa’s Waltz”, “the whiskey on your breath” clearly points out that both poems feature a father. The line, “I watched his lovely face and not the blade” in Lee’s poem and the line, “The hand that held my wrist” in Roethke’s poem show that the poem’s perspective belongs to the sons.

Please help my revise this paragraph and help me think of a good conclusion sentence.
P.S : Also help me think of a better beginning sentence

For the very first sentence I would restate the question and tell the complet names of poets and poems. You could cite an example of how the topics are different. For a conclusion, make your point - - in other words, "Even though these two poems (how they are different) they (how are they similar, in theme?, characterization?, symbolism?)

The poems have different topics, but have a few passages that are similar.

Firstly, In Lee's poem, the line "My father recited a story in a low voice." Then in Roethke's poem, "My Papa's Waltz"," ...thewhiskey on your breath." shows that both poems feature a father.

Secondly, in Lee's poem the line, "I watched his lovely face and not the blade..." and Roethke's, "The hand that held my wrist..." suggest that the poems' perspectives belongs to the sons.
