the reason i ask is because the last few weeks i haven't felt well. very tired,backache, had dirrahoea for 4 days and now for the last 2 days have been constipated. did a preg test a week ago and was negative. but because i haven't had a period i can't go by a normal early sympton of missed period. how i've felt was same when i was pregnant with my daughter.

Yes, it's possible for you to be pregnant even if you had no menstrual period for 11 months. As long as you ovulated and had sex close to the time of ovulation conception is possible. While you may have been anovulatory for several months, during which time you did not bleed, you could have conceived the first time that ovulation resumed -- in other words, had you not conceived at that time you would have soon experienced bleeding, but got pregnant before that bleeding would have occurred.
For a (proportionally) small subset of women home pregnancy tests don't often work, or don't yield a positive result until much later than they do for most women. So it is possible that you're pregnant, and, because you haven't had a period for so long, it's not possible to say when you would have conceived.
I recommend contacting your doctor for a quantitative beta/hcg test -- that will both tell you *if* you are pregnant and, if so, will provide at least the roughest idea of how pregnant you might be based on the levels of hcg detected. (First, however, since it's been a week since your last home pregnancy test, I would take another -- it may have been simply too early to get a positive result.)
It is also very possible that you're not pregnant, of course. If you're not, I recommend you talk to your doctor about why else you could be feeling so rotten. And either way, if you haven't spoken with a doctor previously about cycle irregularities now would be a good time to do so.

I had exactly the same problem as you when i came of the depo, i had not had a period for 11 months after coming off it and had a really bloated belly aswell looked like i was 4 months pregnant....so i went to the dr about it and explained what i was going through... i niavley said i did not think a women could get pregnant without a period but he said that was not the case and it can happen, so he booked me in to have an ultrasound scan i suppose to check for pregnancy and any other underlying issue it all came back compleatly clear... BUT! 4 days before i was due to go and have my scan my period came (coincidence ay) i told the dr my period had arrived but he still told me to go for it anyway...
the only thing i can suggest is go to the dr and see they can do for you, that is the only way you may be able to put your mind at rest....

i never heard of dirrahoea an constipation symptoms of pregnancy...bt who knos. i didnt have mine 4 3 months and tha funny thing is is that i thought i was pregnant 2. and i was bloated tha whole time...i had the exact same thing happen ta me. i went to go take a test an it was negative...they told me to come back in two weeks if i still didnt have my period...well i jus got it.

i hadnt had a period for 2years when i started to feel yuk,and felt fluttering in my stomach,turned out i was 16 weeks pregnant with my 3 she is now 25years old ,so go see a doctor asap good luck

Make an appt and get a blood test done, if thats neg, then consult with your doc about other possible problems

go to the doctor to find out why you havent had a period. he should then do a blood test to rule out pregnancy and go from there

I know a girl that gets her period once every two years. She isn't pregnant.
